George is the co-founder and skipper of the Challenge and is currently studying Business Studies at Plymouth University. He is a keen sailor as well as a powerboat fanatic. He began to sail when he was only 8 and progressed to sail on yachts at the age of 12. George is an RYA Powerboat Instructor and mad about RIBs.

PHIL
MARTIN

ENGINEER

Phil is the co-founder of the Challenge and an accomplished marine engineer with the RYA. Phil was introduced to sailing at the age of 10 and has spent much of his life around boats. He is an RYA qualified powerboat instructor and likes nothing more than being on a fast boat on the ocean waves.

WILLIAMS MBE

Amy is an Olympic Skeleton Champion. At Vancouver 2010, she became the first women to win a British individual gold medal at a Winter Olympics for 58 years. Since retiring as a professional athlete, Amy has been a Team GB Ambassador, part of the Ski Sunday team, an adventurer and soon to be qualified Powerboater.

CREW

Steve is an accomplished professional around the world sailor having completed the 2008 Vendee Globe race and is one of only 10 British sailors to complete the race in its history. Steve won the OSTAR single-handed transatlantic race for monohulls in 2005, is a talented engineer and is looking forward to another circumnavigation.
